As most of you now know there is WiFi broadband access in the clubhouse and as far as I can tell from user reports it has been working very well with good coverage and speed.
ReplyDeleteAt the moment there is no club computer fixed up to surf the net so access requires you to bring your own laptop equipped with in-built wi-fi wireless card or an external USB/PCMCIA wiFi adaptor.
There is no password or encryption as it is set up as an open network to make it simple to get on-line particularly for visitors to the clubhouse.
In order to provide the service to club members and friends we have transferred both phone and internet services to Talk-Talk and we no longer have any account or dealings with BT.
The overall package is very economical for the club and members will be pleased to know that the running costs work out less than the previous BT monthly charges.
